Ashtanga Vinyasa with Nina

Ashtanga in sankskrit means “ eight-limbed”. Ashtanga Yoga is named after the eight limbs of yoga mentioned in the Yoga Sutras of Patanjali.

Vinyasa means “breathing system”.

Ashtanga vinyasa is ashtanga yoga combined with breathing, one breath for each movement. The breath as a connecting asana ( poses/postures) without use of specific series. This method of yoga involves synchronizing the breath with a progressive series of postures-a process producing intense internal heat and a profuse, purifying sweat that detoxifies muscle and organs.

Focus : Dhristi (gaze), breathing, asana (postural poses), Bandha (locking energy).

Benefits : Improve circulation, a light and strong body, calm mind, body purification, improve concentration, energizing the body.

Unique Quality : Healthy body and mind, and energy is balanced.

This Type of yoga for everyone.

What do you need for yoga is YOU and YOUR INNERSELF, and Surrender yourself to the journey of your practice.

Ashtanga Vinyasa with Nina

Nina

Nina comes from Surabaya, Indonesia.

She is a Yoga Alliance qualified yoga instructor and has completed 100 hrs Devdan Yoga Teacher Training and a 200hr Ashtanga Vinyasa  Devdan Yoga Teacher Training with Edo Tandean. More recently she completed a 35hr “Fly High Yoga” Teacher Training held by Jose Jimenez and Acacia Jade.

She teaches her own style of Hatha and Ashtanga Vinyasa.

I was introduced to Yoga through a friend who was looking to get a good deal on his local gym membership by bringing another person with him!
I saw people doing Yoga from the outside of the studio which was the first time I learned that Yoga is not just about meditation.
I signed up for membership immediately and started the Yoga classes the next day.
I loved Yoga from the start and was soon taking classes 4-5 times a week.
From then on I attended as many different types of Yoga classes as were available which was pretty limited in Surabaya 4 years ago!Year by year I continued my practice and as I met more and more Yoga practioner’s I began to think about doing my first Yoga Teacher Training course.
I completed my first training in the beginning 2015 in Surabaya.

In the beginning I was taking the training for my own knowledge and to educate myself more about Yoga, how to really do poses safely.

At the same time, I started to do substitute Yoga teaching at a few different Yoga studios around Surabaya and so my teaching career began.

The atmosphere of Yoga life in Surabaya is very different compared to Ubud. If you are as interested in Yoga as I am, Ubud is really an exciting place to be able to live and teach in.

My mother passed away of Cancer in June 2015 and now I want to share and educate people more about a healthy lifestyle. I want to help people to become more aware of their body and how it affects their well-being. I believe all sickness comes from the mind, through Yoga I think you can fight it.

200 Hour Yoga Teacher Training by Routes of Yoga, 1st-23rd October

Dive deep into all Major Aspects of Yoga & Learn to share your Knowledge with others.
200 Hour Yoga Teacher Training Bali (Non-Residential)

Dates : 1st-23rd October 2016
Location : Taksu Yoga Movement & Arts, Ubud, Bali
Duration : The total course duration is 23 days. This is inclusive of 3 days off during the training.
Course Overview : “At Routes of Yoga, our approach is to provide a comprehensive and holistic Yoga Teacher Training experience that covers all the major aspects of yoga in both practice and in theory. Gain a thorough understanding into the process and science of yoga while cultivating a solid teaching methodology rooted in practice and awareness. ROY’s YTT program moves through 3 major areas of development necessary to share the practice of yoga with ample knowledge, confidence and compassion.

THE BODY
Building a strong physical practice sets a solid foundation for the training program. The main elements and qualities of a physical practice are explored while anatomy lectures pave the way for asana workshops which focus in on the individual asana groups. These concepts are applied in targeted daily yoga asana classes and time is set aside for students to get direct clarification on any issues that arise during the day’s explorations.

BEYOND ASANAS
These topics cover the more subtle concepts and techniques of yoga, such as chakras, kriyas, pranayama and meditation. Yoga history and the analysis of key philosophical texts allow students to place these techniques within the bigger context of yoga and understand their individual purposes towards its ultimate goal. The Beyond Asana modules provide a deeper view point for one’s own practice as well as a contemplative base from which to teach from.

THE ART OF TEACHING
Teaching Methodology, Sequencing and Teaching Labs offer the tools and guided training sessions to lead multi-level classes with clarity and confidence. Ample time is allocated to Teaching Labs for students to gain hands-on experience in leading classes and get individual feedback and guidance from both their peers and the teaching faculty.

The topics covered in The Body & Beyond Asanas teach students the core principals of yoga and how to implement them into their daily lives. The goal here is for students to gain confidence in their own practice first and how it can positively impact their living and perception of the world. The Art of Teaching modules build onto this. While a comprehensive understanding of yoga and a regular practice are necessary pre-requisites for teaching, alone they do not ensure a clear and efficient transfer of information. The Art of Teaching subjects focus on developing these key attributes of a teacher along with nurturing each participant’s individual teaching style.

Yoga for Balance

The physical body is rarely symmetrical, most people are aware that one side of the body is stronger or more flexible than the other. These imbalances will slow down and restrict our flow of vital life force or prana which can eventually lead to minor aches and pains, incorrect alignment, emotional stress and tension and inefficient functioning of the internal organs.

To help us maintain and enjoy optimum levels of health, it is important that we work to find balance both physically and emotionally and yoga is the perfect activity to help us do just that! Balance is not about strength!

Chloe

Chloe is dedicated to serving the teachings of Yoga to provide fellow seekers with the tools of self healing, growth and unlocking the well of their infinite potential. Also a healing practitioner at Taksu’s Healing Haven, her yoga classes incorporate the fundamentals of CranioSacral therapy into the physical practice as well as skeletal alignment and self energetic attunement.

A Yoga Alliance E-RYT certified instructor, she teaches her style of SmartFlow Yoga™– a deliberate set of postures to move the body in a conscious sequence to awaken the innate intelligence of the bodymind. She will take you on a journey with her dynamic, heartfelt, engaging way of sharing her own personal practice. Her style evolves as her practice evolves, as she believes in being a student first, teacher second. Her guided mediation classes are available for those who are interested in exploring the more subtler realms of consciousness. All classes are intended to provide for a more neutral and easeful state of being while dancing between the threshold of structure and flow– not just in the classroom, but more importantly, throughout the course of one’s own life.

A teacher as well as a healing practitioner for Hridaya Healing™ in the US, Mexico and now Bali, she has received darshan from Ram Dass, Ammachi and Paul Muller Ortega to carry out this work.

Chloe now lives in Bali, sharing her love for the Path of Yoga with her students. She hopes to serve the teachings in a way that embodies what she has deeply received from her own teachers. Also a public speaker on Spirituality and Consciousness, writer for MindBodyGreen and Elephant Journal, she hopes to bring forth the spiritual teachings in a practical and integrated manner to assist in the unfolding of your moment to moment, everyday life.

Keep updated on her Teacher Trainings and workshops for Women Empowerment and Raising Consciousness with fellow teachers and healers here in Ubud. For more information on Chloe, please visit www.chloeparkhealing.com.
